Trying new things can be undoubtedly daunting. The entire concept of Blockchain and distributed ledger technology was completely novel to me, as being a business analyst student. By enrolling in BUSN5001, it provided an opportunity to explore more. Being a part of the “experimental project” encouraged me to further investigate the blockchain technology’s unexplored potential.
The development and application of NFTs is one element that comes to mind. At first, I was sceptical about their value and utility. But when I learned more about non-fungible tokens by indulging in various in class practical activities, I saw how they might completely alter the art market and give artists unparalleled power. I had a brand-new and wholly original experience with the full process of generating them, publishing on sites like open sea, and subsequent minting of the NFTs.
The experimental project’s publication of the collaborative book of DAO was another milestone. Although it was challenging at first, the technique of mixing several voices and weaving them right into a coherent story showed the value of working together. The power of cooperation and the appeal that can occur whilst people come collectively to create something larger than themselves have been proven through looking the collective understanding and creativity emerge through the book’s pages. I was able to personally experience the transformative effects of this decentralised organisational approach via my participation within the undertaking’s DAO.
Finally, the team project associated with e-voting on blockchain helped me acquire knowledge further about the technology and how it may influence the face-off elections in the future.
To conclude, taking part in this experimental endeavour has been a life-changing experience. It has made me rethink my assumptions, broaden my perspectives, and improve my comprehension of how technology and creativity are constantly changing. This encounter will serve as a constant reminder of the boundless potential that resides inside us when we dare to venture into the uncharted realms of human creation.
